Working

So, I pretty much sit around at work everyday and read everyone elses blogs once I finish my work. This made me think, "Hey when was the last time I posted in my blog?" which led me to see it's been about a year and a half. So here is my new post.

I'm working this summer at a company called NeuStar, more specifically for the NANPA. We assign the area codes. It's a pretty interesting job, just kinda slow during the summer. Plus I am making good money, so I can't complain. Other than that I pretty much just have been going to the gym and hanging with some friends on the weekends. Oh and I am also growing a garden this year, I'll have to try and get some pics up of that at some point.

Tommorow, I'm going to Rascal Flatts which should be a good time. Other than that I'm just punching the clock and going one day at a time.

Recap

So we're gonna do a little recap of the weekend and whats going on at Notre Dame

Friday-I flew out of Roanoke to Chicago and then finally to South Bend. After getting robbed blind by the cab driver(a five minute ride for $20). I got to Nuss's hall and met his roomate and a couple of his hallmates. He of course was in the hotel with the team for the big game on Saturday vs. Navy. I went out with some kids from his hall to this party in another dorm. Apparently at ND they really don't care if you drink in the dorms, kinda cool. Chilled there for awhile then headed back to the room and went to bed.

Saturday-Got up and wandered the campus of ND with John and his gf. Got some food, saw touchdown Jesus, the Basillica, the Stadium and the Golden Dome. Then we watched the team walk from mass to the stadium and I got to see Nuss and all the team so that was pretty cool. Overall I liked the campus, it reminds me a lot of Tech just without the hills.

Went to the game and I wasn't really a fan of the stadium or the field. It is old, the scoreboard is crap, and the field looks bad, I'm all for the classics but you could at least put in some metal bleachers instead of the wood. The game was really exciting and unfortunately ND lost. Pretty much the defense just looked slow and pourous as navy moved the ball on them all day. After the game met Nuss by the main gates waited for him to finish signing his autographs and then went back to his dorm. Went out to get some food with him and a couple other guys on the team and then came back and went to a girls lax party. Met a bunch of the football players including Jimmy Clauson, didnt like him at all haha. Went back and went to bed

Sunday-Waited for a taxi, another robbery, flew to Chi-town and sat there for 5 hours, then flew to Dulles and sat there for a few hours and finally back to Roanoke. Got back to Blacksburg around 1145.

Do it.

Alright so in my opinion everyone should go out and buy some new cds. My list right now includes:

In Defense of the Genre-Say Anything

Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace- Foo Fighters

Graduation-Kanye West

Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Live at Radio City Music Hall

Yeah thats pretty much where it's at right now and then just some random other stuff thrown in. Boston College comes to town on Thursday it's going to be insane. I can't wait for that game. First hockey tourny this weekend in Raleigh, NC so anyone in the area should give me a call and stop by. Should be fun been really busy with hockey and school work lately, finally have a few minutes to relax right now which is nice. I'm looking at apartments for next year, very expensive.

Maroon Effect

Just got back from the maroon effect game. We beat UNC 17-10, not so hot really. It just doesn't seem like our offense can get anything going and thank god Tyrod is mobile cus the O-line isn't really giving him a chance. They are solid on the stretch plays and when on the slide protection but straight drop back and pass the pocket collapses every time. Defense looks good when they're fresh but they were on the field the entire game. Overall we need some big thing to happen on the offense before clemson next week.
In other news I went to the rugby game and watched Nathan play. After that i basically showed him everywhere that there were usually parties but apparently there weren't any last night. Really odd but we went to the rugby house instead and had a blast.
I get to see my puppy on thursday when I go home!!

Homecoming

So it's homecoming week and all the festivities are in full swing! Good stuff, Nathan white boy is going to be down here this weekend playing a little rugby so that should be a good time. Hopefully this hockey team will come together so that I will have something to do. Next week I've got a Soc exam and a Comm paper due but other than that a pretty laid back week. I'm leaving Thursday to come home for fall break! Should be good to get home and also good to see my new puppy. That's all for now

Blog

So today I made it on the intraweb! I'm at home for the weekend, decided to suprise the fam. Tonight I'm going to watch my first Stone Bridge Football game in four years. Should be interesting. Tommorow is the JMU vs. VMI game and I get to go and see my BEEF John and his family, should be fun. Then I've got to find a ride home because it looks as though this may end up being the week from hell as far as school goes! Family comes to visit for the William and Mary game next weekend!
Heres what I did last weekend

it was tight as hell it's called the Cascades, Rob and I hiked up there, would definetly recommend it
